Hooksett is situated on the Merrimack River in south-central New Hampshire. Interstate 93 connects Hooksett to the White Mountains and Boston. The town is located halfway between Manchester, New Hampshire and Concord, New Hampshire, the state capital. A prominent landmark is Robie's Country Store, a National Historic Landmark and a frequent stop for presidential candidates during the New Hampshire primary.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 96.6 km2 (37.3 mi2). 93.8 km2 (36.2 mi2) of it is land and 2.7 km2 (1.0 mi2) of it is water. The total area is 2.82% water.
